Increased environmental pressures cause industry to continually re-evaluate process requirements, reduction of environmental risks, costs and volume of waste produced, whilst optimising process demands.
Improved solid capture rates reduce the volume of solids recycled in waste water treatment resulting in lower process treatment costs. The DIRK Group of Companies have extensive in-house knowledge and expertise on sludge dewatering and provide its customers with a comprehensive and cost-effective sludge dewatering service.
To meet the varying requirements of the industry DIRK offers:
- Mobile Centrifuges
- Mobile Chamber Presses
Availability
Our current UK based fleet comprises equipment shown on the listing in this chapter. Apart from this we command, on mainland Europe, a further 16 mobile chamber presses and 8 further mobile centrifuges. This large equipment pool allows us to respond instantly to most customer demands. Our UK customers have access to our daily updated availability list. Please ask for allocation of your password and you will be able to check for yourself what type of machine is available from which date onwards.
We are constantly updating and enlarging our fleet. Via our exclusive, direct link to the equipment manufacturers, we can use the established relationship of these manufacturers with other fleet-owners, to provide for peak demand.

Installation
A crucial phase is the quick and uninterrupted installation of the contract dewatering equipment. DIRK has a special hands-on team of wastewater industry experts experienced with this work. DIRK has contractual arrangements with pump suppliers, hose pipe suppliers, electrical installation specialists, mechanical workshops and transport companies with adequate equipment. DIRK relies on this established infrastructure to finish installations in minimum time.
Reliability
The mobile chamber presses have been built and mobilised by our partner MSE who is our sole supplier for this equipment. Our mobile Centrifuges have been built by our partner Flottweg and either mobilised by MSE. DIRK is the sole importer for Flottweg and MSE into the United Kingdom and, in the case of MSE in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and various other European countries.
This means that we have a direct "Hot Line" to the manufacturer of this equipment to activate immediate support for repair and services. In the UK we operate our own 24-hour telephone helpline ( 0151 608 0706 ) and our own in-house specialised maintenance and repair service.
Working Framework
All our services are controlled via our quality control system. DIRK is approved for ISO 9002. Our manufacturers are approved for ISO 9001.
