Prof. Ravindra Dhir O.B.E. lecture for Dirk India customers

Prof. Dhir gave four specific lectures during October at Mumbai and Pune/India to further encourage the use of Pozzocrete in concrete and to introduce a very interested Indian audience in new aspects of concrete mix formulations.

He claimed that Pozzocrete should not be called a cement replacement, but a “cement” in its own right to be used in combination with other cements. The lectures were attended by the leading Indian ready-mix industries, major construction companies, important mass users like the Nucelar Power Corporation of India, the Maharashtra Road authority and others. One of the events in Pune were shared by Prof. M.S. Shetty the highly respected author of the Indian text books for the new generation of civil engineers. Prof. M.S. Shetty claimed that the introduction of quality assured Fly Ash (Pozzocrete) is an important step to improve the quality of construction in India.
