UPDATE: POZZOCRETE™ - Ghatghar Dams Project in Maharashtra

Dirk India Private Ltd have won a supply agreement to provide more than 80,000 tons of POZZOCRETE™ to the Ghatghar Dams Project in Maharashtra.

The project is the first project to use fly ash as a major constituent (60% Pozzocrete + 40% OPC) in a roller compacted concrete method of construction. The main contractors who will be purchasing the material are Patel Engineering Ltd of Jogeshwari, Mumbai.

Implicit with the agreement is a commitment from Patel Engineering Ltd, who are one of the leading and most forward thinking Civil Engineering Contractors in India, to use POZZOCRETE™ on all projects for the next five years where technical and logistic requirements allow.

Although the project faced some delays the concreting of the upper dam and the saddle dam will be completed before monsoon 2003.
